"Brave" Runner-up
“Brave” (7th of 16 emotions): “Red, felt in the chest” was the consistent response from people I asked in public about this emotion. From my questionnaire on @sarah.hart.landolt, responses were more diverse : purple, cinnamon, orange, royal blue, silver and “the colors of a Toucan.” Felt in the gut and the spine “like a T shape of someone's back when they hold their shoulders back and stand up straight” (@katharine_wiggins). I personally feel brave as a pep talk starting from my gut which rises up to my chest and then to my brain as a decision to face my fears, with my chest leading the way like a headlight. I can confidently proclaim that I am “Brave” and bold, so painting this feeling proved to be the easiest of the chart for me thus far.
