5” x 7” : graphite and acrylic ink on yupo

“Confused” : desaturated, shadowy blues & greens, grey, brown, orange, black. Contrasting colors. Felt in between eyebrows, forehead. I drew intersecting semicircles to represent overload & overlap of information. My gut decision (before even asking others) was to drop complementary colors of brick red and sap green to see the muddy intersection of the once distinct colors interact to create a quagmire of confusion. I also moved the ink by drawing multiple question mark shapes (??) in the puddles of pigment.
