Made on the quest to capture the essence of Enneagram Type 5: “the investigator.” Here, a pentagon is the dominate shape for 5 as it symbolizes knowledge, intelligence & research (that also can be secretive!). In addition, this shape is both grounded and rooted while pointing upward towards a higher-minded, focused quest/ a niche, fine-tuned expertise that type 5 often possesses. Inside this pentagon nests an aligned, systemized network of circles, lines, triangles and smaller pentagon, demonstrating the complexity and cerebral inner workings of a 5. All the shapes intersect at an illuminated center, which shows Type 5’s desire/ need to go inward and find solace there— although this light is surrounded by darkness as this introversion can spill into self-isolation. Muted blue, green and grey were the top colors for Type 5 in the data— and this coolness of hue seems fitting for 5’s measured thoughts and sangfroid.
